Bahamas Summer Camp Charter Flights

Summer camp travel to and from the Bahamas runs on three fixed dates, and everything else about the trip can be planned around them. There are three guaranteed dates for a summer camp: drop-off, family weekend, and pickup.

That is the useful thing about camp flying. Unlike most leisure travel, you know the calendar months ahead, and so does every other family sending a child to the same place.

Why Families Charter for Camp

Camps are rarely near a convenient airport. If your child is heading from Nassau or Freeport to a camp in New England, the Carolinas or the Midwest, the airline routing usually means a connection, a long drive at the other end, and a tired child arriving at the worst possible moment. A charter flight can use a much smaller airport far closer to the camp gate, and it leaves when you decide rather than when the schedule says.

Taking your child yourself, rather than putting them on a connecting flight, also tends to settle the nerves on both sides. It should be an exciting day, not a stressful one.

Family Weekend and the Unexpected Trip

Family weekend is when the numbers grow. Grandparents come, siblings come, and sometimes a family member who does not travel easily comes too, which is exactly the situation where a private flight earns its keep.

If something happens at camp and you need to get there, a charter flight can often be arranged at short notice, and on those days flying privately is simply the practical answer.

Sharing the Trip

If your child has a friend at the same camp and the families are starting from the same place, sharing an aircraft is worth asking about. The contract has to be with one person, who becomes our single point of contact and carries the financial responsibility, but the cost of the flight can be settled between you however you like.

Aircraft range from four-seat turboprops up through jets of every size, and the right one depends on the passenger count, the baggage, and the airports at both ends. Bear in mind that any flight between the Bahamas and the United States is international, so every child needs a valid passport, and unaccompanied minors may need additional documentation.

Talk to an advisor once your camp dates are confirmed and we will work out what fits.
