Private Jets for Pets in the Bahamas

Flying your pet to the Bahamas is one of the better reasons to charter, because it is the only way most animals travel in the cabin with you rather than in a hold.

We are very pet friendly, but not every aircraft owner is, so tell us about your pet before anything is booked. We will need the type of animal, the weight and the breed.

Why It Matters on This Route

The Bahamas is a separate country, and it has its own animal import requirements. Those take time and they sit with you rather than with the operator, so start earlier than you would for a domestic trip. Your advisor can tell you what the operator and the aircraft owner will need from their side, and flag anything that looks likely to hold the trip up.

Every passenger on board needs a valid passport too, and your first landing in the country has to be at a designated airport of entry, where Bahamas Customs and Immigration clear the aircraft and everyone on it.

Finding the Right Aircraft

Not every charter aircraft accepts animals. Some owners allow them without question, some allow them with conditions, and some decline. Because we do not own aircraft, we can go and look across the market rather than working with whatever happens to be in one hangar.

Cabin size matters more than people expect. A larger animal needs floor space that a light jet simply does not have, and that shapes the aircraft as much as the number of people flying.

Tell Us Early

Raise your pet at the quoting stage rather than after you book. It affects which aircraft are available, sometimes the price, and occasionally the routing.

Pets travel on relocations, holidays and moves in both directions, and for a lot of our clients the animal is the whole reason the trip is private. Talk to an advisor about what you need, or read more about relocation flights to and from the Bahamas.
