Grand Bahama and Nassau handle larger aircraft and clear customs around the clock at the private terminal. Several of the Out Island fields suit turboprops better than jets, and where a site has no usable runway at all, helicopter charter is often the practical answer.
Equipment and Cargo
Time-critical parts, survey equipment and heavy machinery can move by cargo charter when the alternative is a stalled operation. We arrange full-aircraft cargo charter rather than shared freight, so the aircraft goes where you need it, when you need it.
What an International Leg Adds
Every flight between the United States and the Bahamas is international. Everyone on board needs a valid passport, and your first landing in the country has to be at a designated airport of entry. Landing permits are generally applied for after a trip has been secured on the aircraft schedule, and sometimes the timeline is dictated by the local airport authorities.
Under the Bahamian Civil Aviation Act, a foreign operator also needs authorization from the Bahamas Civil Aviation Authority before it can carry commercial traffic to and from Bahamian airports. Confirming that is part of our internal due diligence process.
