Bahamas Flight Department Back-Up Charter

Running a corporate flight department is a demanding job, and a Bahamas trip has a habit of arriving on the one week your aircraft is unavailable. Crew currency, medicals, scheduling, dispatch and pop-up trips are all yours to solve. We can take on the supplemental lift.

Most missions are straightforward point to point. Some are a round trip, some a multi-leg road show. Your own department handles the vast majority of them without needing anyone else. The interesting cases are the other ones.

When Departments Call Us

The aircraft is right but too small, and finance would rather you moved everyone in one lift than flew the trip twice. The aircraft is in for scheduled maintenance and the board still needs to be somewhere. A mechanical happens away from base with a client meeting hours away. Or the trip is simply outside what your aircraft can do without a fuel stop.

Some flight managers already have long relationships with a couple of local operators. Others have never needed supplemental lift and would rather not spend three days finding out how it works, then take it through procurement, finance and legal.

The Bahamas Wrinkle

An international leg adds a requirement that catches people out. Under the Bahamian Civil Aviation Act, a foreign operator needs authorization from the Bahamas Civil Aviation Authority before carrying commercial traffic to and from Bahamian airports, so an operator with a clean FAA certificate is not automatically able to fly your executives to Nassau for hire. Confirming that authority is part of our internal due diligence process rather than something you should have to chase.

The same applies to the airport itself. Your first landing in the country has to be at a designated airport of entry, everyone on board needs a valid passport, and landing permits are generally applied for after a trip has been secured on the aircraft schedule.

What You Get From Us

We search our approved operator network for aircraft that fit the mission and price them competitively. Before we present options, we confirm the operator holds the certification required for the flight, review its safety and incident history, and confirm the pilots are qualified and current on the aircraft type.

Then you get a short list, a clear recommendation, and someone to call. Get in touch before you need us, and the first call when you do need us is a great deal shorter.
