A bachelor or bachelorette weekend in the Bahamas is a group travel problem wearing a party hat, and charter is how you keep it simple. Everyone arrives together, on the right island, at a sensible hour.
Nassau and Paradise Island have the nightlife and the resorts. The Exumas and Harbour Island suit the quieter version. Bimini is close enough to South Florida for a genuinely short hop. Which one you pick changes the aircraft, so it is worth deciding first.
Getting Everyone There Together
The usual difficulty is that the group is scattered. Charter lets you collect from one or two departure points and land as one party, rather than spending the first evening waiting on the last connection.
Group sizes run from a single light jet up to airliner-size aircraft carrying well over a hundred. When the total passenger count outgrows a heavy jet and the group consists of more than nineteen passengers, the aircraft required would fall into regional airliner, or airliner-size, and those trips would no longer fall under the FAR Part 135 standards but possibly operate under FAR Part 121 or foreign equivalent standards.
On Board
A range of on-board arrangements can be requested, including catering as an additional arrangement at extra cost, a flight attendant on aircraft where one is available, and smoking or non-smoking cabins. Ask before we quote rather than after, because some of these change which aircraft will work.
The Practical Bits
Everyone on board needs a valid passport. Your first landing in the country has to be at a designated airport of entry, where Bahamas Customs and Immigration clear the aircraft, usually at the private terminal.
One thing worth knowing on a group trip: we can only contract with one person. You are more than welcome to split the cost between you and your group afterwards, but a single named individual is our point of contact and carries the financial responsibility for the flight.
Before we present options, we confirm the operator holds the certification required for the flight and review its safety and incident history. Ask us for a quote.
